Empty list after login #348

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Install any version past 5.1.5 deleting the saved varables
2.Open the addon window using the hotkey
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I should see the members list and their EP, GP and PR, but instead the list
is blank, and the (guild members count is 0 (zero) )

What version of the product are you using? What locale is your client (en,
ru, kr, ch, es, tw)? What other addons do you have installed and what
versions?
with 5.1.5 - all is ok.
with 5.2.x - all is ok if I keep the 5.1.5 saved variables.
with 5.3 - the list is empty and the saved variables only keep the log
but not the points on them.
with 5.2.x - If I revert to this version with the 5.3 saved variables or no
saved variables at all the list is empty again.

My client is the EN EU

I have a lot of other addons, but I disabled then for testing.

Paste the text surrounded by -EPGP- in Guild Information here:
-EPGP-
@BASE_GP:100
@DECAY_P:10
@MIN_EP:50
@EXTRAS_P:0
-EPGP-

If this is about http://epgpweb.appspot.com integration, what is the realm
and region of your guild?

Please provide any additional information below.

imo it seems that the addon cant find the officer notes and assumes that
the character is guildless (looking at the empty saved variables)

I tried to reproduce this but I was unable to. Removed all savedvariables files
and
restarted EPGP and still get the guild listing fine.

Can you try to do:

/script GuildRoster()

After you login and see if that fixes it?

Also there is a line at the top of LibGuildStorage-1.0.lua:

-- Comment out this line to enable debug info
function Debug(...) end

If you change it to:

-- Comment out this line to enable debug info
-- function Debug(...) end

The library will dump debug information out. Can you do that and paste the
output
here (or a screenshot).

Thanks again!

Ok, I will do that as soon as I get home.
I'll then post back the results.

OK for a moment there I was beginning to think I was crazy cos wen I came back
from
work everything was fine with the latest version. So I tried to reproduce the
problem
installing different versions and different saved variables files I had stored
and
nothing..
I ran the the debug like you asked me to and then something came to my eye, the
debug
information was updating the addon as expected, but I noticed that it updates
the
members list from 1-101 102-202 203-xxx
I went to the guild log and say that 3 members joined in the last 24 hours, so
yesterday we had 202 members and I was having an empty list, this afternoon we
had
203 and I was having an empty list also, and tonight we had 204 and everything
was fine..

So I kicked some guy to get the guild back to 203 members and re logged with the
debug on, and it kept looping forever. It was scanning the members list over
and over.

Heres a bit of the debug information:

Ok I managed to reproduce it. This problem occurs when you have a guild with k
* 101
+ 1 members, for any k.

Working on a fix.
