Not recognizing certain special characters in alt toon's names

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Type FìndÆrs in the officer note for an alt character.
2. Hover over FìndÆrs (the main toon) in the standings list or try
assigning ep/gp to the alt toon.
3. FìndÆrs will not have any ep/gp or alts associated with it.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect FìndÆrs to have an alt listed under his name when I hover over him
in the standings list. I also expect that EP granted to FìndÆrs' alts will
be associated to FìndÆrs. Instead I see FìndÆrs not having any alts or EP
granted when he plays his alt.

What version of the product are you using? What locale is your client (en,
ru, kr, ch, es, tw)? What other addons do you have installed and what
versions?

Forgot to add that FìndÆrs is typed as: f alt141 nd alt146 rs

And other toon's with special characters work perfectly. FìndÆrs is the only 
one EPGP
won't recognize.

The name you enter is not a valid name.

Fìndærs

Only the first character of the toon can be a capital letter. All the rest need 
to be lowercased. I wonder when 
you do /w FìndÆrs does it work? I think not.

Easiest thing to do is to have the person login, then open any chat and shift 
click the name of the person that 
logged (Fìndærs in this case). Then copy that text and paste it into the 
officer note.

Bah missed some text. The actual contents of the officer note should be: 
Fìndærs not FìndÆrs.

Thank you! This works. It's strange though, because the way I was typing it 
worked
fine for calendar invites and in game mail. =/
