Enancement Request - Undo multiple actions #509

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

Sorry, I know this has been opened as a defect but I couldn't see where to
create an enhancement request.

It would be extremley useful if you could select an older entry in the
log, click the undo button and (after a confirmation whereby you can
select EP, GP or both) roll back the log to a point in time.

At present, as awards are logged aginst an individual player if a mistake
is made then it's 25 undo clicks to remove just one award. Normally we end
up just awarding a corrective amount but this is difficult to calculate if
the error is a few awards back (if we had this functionality the problem
with incorrect officer notes causing an infinite loop until reloadui could
also easily have been recovered from).

How about putting next to the Credit button a Refund button - so if you give
someone
loot at the wrong value or for whatever other reason, instead of doing 25
undos, you
just award the item as normal, except you click Refund. I know you can do the
same by
giving a -GP cost, but the log shows that the person got the item twice (when
you
export it to EPGPWeb).

That's a nice idea too and could compliment the change proposed above (as
things can
now be traded at least once per night I have to adjust GP because the player
who
took the item changes their mind and wants to pass to the next guy who has PR).

Refund can be an idea. Another one could be to simply be able to select a log
entry and undo only that one.

Right now undo just works on the most recent, and that's a pain, as already
pointed out.

The idea in comment 4 is good. Sometimes it happens that either the ML gives
the
item to the wrong person (oops!) or that the person who won, realises that the
item
is not such a good upgrade for him and agrees to give it to someone else who can
benefit more from that item.

Also happens that someone goes offline and we deduct the PE form that kill if
the
person was offline for the whole fight.

Undoing one EP/GP award would be really nice.

And for the GP, it would be great to reassign that GP award to someone else
(tho I'd
be happy with the undo alone).

Here is what I do when those things in comment #5 happen to us:

Suppose someone got a ring for 275 GP. When I'm unable to undo, I award the
same ring
to the same person with -275 GP, and then award it to someone else. If this was
automated, (i.e., a button to correct the the name of the person who won the
item),
it would be very nice.

I'd love to have per-person log where I can undo.

For example, two people needs some loot. Player A gets it. One hour later,
Player A trades it to Player B - I cannot undo, as we had boss kills,
attendance checks etc. I need to award the item with negative value to Player
A, and award it to Player B normally, like in comment #6.

Also - undoing a mass event for 25 man + standby is.. meh.. click-y. Mass
events should be undo-able with 1 click for all involved person.
