Apple’ve changed it so now you need to go into settings (the security bit, I think) & approve the app there after trying to open it once.
Very annoying change, I’ll update the README to give directions soon.
(if you can take screenshots while doing it & post them here that’d be loads of help for the README)
Okay no problem
Edit: Went ahead and created a PR #340 to add some steps to the README with images, feel free to use (or not) as you see fit. Let me know if you need additional screenshots.

Describe the bug Error occurs when opening the application that it may be harmful. Traditional workarounds of right clicking -> open in finder doesn't work either.
It seems like the build wasn't signed or something
To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behaviour:
Pocket.Sync_5.2.0_universal.dmg
Pocket.Sync_5.2.0_universal.dmg
Workaround
For macOS users, open system preferences -> privacy & security -> scroll down to "security"
Near "allow applications from" there will be a message about macOS blocking pocket sync from running. Choose the "open anyway" option from preferences to open the application.
Desktop (please complete the following information): macOS 15.0.1 (24A348)
