Command line tool STDOUT output is barely legible in powershell dark #34

Hi there, I really want to use Solarized in my powershell prompt, but I'm finding that the STDOUT output from non powershell tools (eg sqlcmd) is barely readable. I'm not sure what is causing this - any ideas?

I stand corrected. The image I pasted above is actually of a CMD shortcut (Visual Studio Command Prompt) with a modified Target that invokes powershell

When I use sqlcmd in a regular powershell prompt that has been solarized I get this:
