phone state/identity permission #7

Why does the application require reading the phone state and identity?

What do you mean?
The only permissions kwaak3 requires is access to external storage (sdcard) and
internet support for networking.

The install requires 3 sets of perms.
Network communications (full internet access)
Phone Calls (read phone state and identity)
Storage (modify/delete SD card contents)

I can understand the requirement for 1/3, but not 2?

I have asked some others and they see the game only asking for these permissions
during installation. It could be that additional permissions are required on
different Android versions / phones. What Android version + phone are you using?

On the HTC Tattoo it also asks for this but not on the Nexus One (Android 2.1) 
and
Milestone/Droid (Android 2.0).

I have added your question to the FAQ. I guess it is a feature of Android 1.6 or
something which HTC added. Later on I might close this issue. Thanks for 
reporting it.
