This branch contains updates to improve CLI testing for both pytest and CircleCI. Please see CONTRIBUTING.md for related developer documentation. Also, please note that pytest will show 3 failed tests as discussed at today's meeting. These are related to discrepancies between what is found in the docs/*.rst files for the related functions and the output when running with the current code base.
