Open Source Hardware? #2

Due to the unfortunate "insolvency proceedings for the company behind nello" is it possible that Nello open source the hardware for the Nello One?

The use of an ESP8266 and off the shelf components may allow users to create a similar smart intercom system with your software backend.

I imagine they can't do this as it would be potentially one of the few assets the administrators have left to recoup some losses from.
