Or... the Z5! http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/products/phones/xperia-z5/ see the camera: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0sCPSwdL5t4
the Z5 makes iPhone6s look like a bit of a rip off... http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/products/phones/xperia-z5/specifications/
The One Plus 2 looks really good: https://oneplus.net/2/specs but I can't find the MicroSD availability... and the "invite only" sale is lame.
OnePlus 2 does not have a MicroSD slot, but will become available for general (no invite) purchase later this month. I quite like the physical home button. lets see...
I quite like the idea of the of the compact http://www.sonymobile.com/gb/products/phones/xperia-z5-compact/specifications/ but while it has the same camera sensor and process as the bigger brother, it has less RAM and is "fatter"... which is kinda lame...
This is why it makes sense to get the Sony phone: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B010NE3QPS
Apple is such a Rip off for the extra space ... :crying_cat_face:
@iteles I'm thinking of going past CarPhone this evening on my way home... http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/xperia-z5-z5-compact-go-sale-carphone-warehouse-1522134 You don't have to go if you prefer to go straight home. Love you! :kissing_heart:
Unbelievable! how did I not know/hear about this: http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00R3D8YJ6
I'm debating which Camera to buy for filming in Braga ... see: https://github.com/dwyl/video/issues/49 It got me thinking, the camera I use the most often is my iPhone SE ... which has the same Camera and A9 processor as the iPhone 6S.
I ❤️ the fact that my iPhone SE is basically "tiny" by comparison to larger iPhones. I don't use my phone anywhere near as much as most other people do. I don't have any time-sucking "Social Media" #273 Apps or Games on my phone. I literally only use it for Photos, iMessages, Email and a handful of "utility" apps like google maps.
The only reason I would consider upgrading to iPhone X would be for the camera, processor and space (to store more photos videos on the device without running out of space and having to "wipe" my phone periodically...)
Comparison between iPhone 6S and iPhone X: https://youtu.be/sQqH2jjr1Pk On the surface the camera comparison is not that different ...
The most noticeable difference is in Image Stabilisation on the iPhone X while capturing video ... 🤔
I definitely use in-ear chorded earphones with my iPhone SE. But I use my bluetooth headphones https://github.com/dwyl/hq/issues/147 way more often. In fact in the last week I've been back from London I haven't taken my Sennheiser in-ear earphones out of their case once ...
I'm reluctant to get a phone that is glass front and back ... https://youtu.be/OJfOsoUYPts
I always have a case on my iPhone ... so the cracked screen/back would not be an issue for me.
I'm going to "hold off" on "upgrading" until the camera on iPhone is unquestionably better.
Different seller. Pre-christmas price. £689.99 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPhone-X-iPhone-10-64GB-256GB-Unlocked-SIM-Free-Smartphone/382293145499 This will probably be much cheaper in January after a few million people get the "upgraded" XS and sell off their "Old" one.
All phones will be cheaper in January for sure 👍
https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-xr/6.1-inch-display-256gb-yellow#00,13,22
This is the new
iPhone I would consider. But £899 is the price of a Laptop! 😕
Especially when it's $899 (USD) in America:
https://www.apple.com/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-xr/6.1-inch-display-256gb-yellow-unlocked#00,33,20,42,60
Which is £682 GBP ... https://www.google.com/search?q=899+usd+in+gbp
I understand that the UK has higher VAT than US ... but come on!
This could be an option: £779 for the 256GB XR which has much better battery life than X. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPhone-XR-256GB-4GB-RAM-Unlocked-iOS-Smartphone-Blue-Pristine/202597969220
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPhone-XR-64GB-128GB-256GB-All-Colours-Unlocked-Refurbished-Smartphone/113469169056 £649 is reasonable, if it was yellow/coral/blue I would buy it in a heartbeat.
Unfortunately, 2017's iPhone X (previous model) has not come down in price very much https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPhone-X-64GB-256GB-Space-Grey-or-Silver-Unlocked-Excellent-Condition/283017325082
And the iPhone XR has two distinct advantages over the iPhone X:
Compared to the £899 of the iPhone XR 256GB I'm more tempted by the iPhone XS 512GB: £1,049 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPhone-XS-64-256-512GB-Unlocked-SIM-FREE-Smartphone-1-Year-Warranty/382589675590
This is a £300 discount! But let's be honest this RRP is absolutely absurd! 😖
£640 with "free shipping" ... price has only come down marginally since November ... 🙄 https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPhone-X-iPhone-10-64GB-256GB-Unlocked-Space-Grey-Silver-12M-Warranty/202238241766
https://www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=7969&idPhone2=8064&idPhone3=8858#*,a1778,a1901 The front-facing camera on the iPhone 7 is basically the same as iPhone X:
miles better than iPhone SE ... 🤔 Not having the Headphone jack will "bug" me ... 😕 This could be a good solution to charging and using headphones: https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07MS7YZKF/ Sucks that they forced people to buy "airpods" or a "dongle" ... 🙄 I've been using Wireless headphones for years: https://github.com/dwyl/hq/issues/147 (and love them) But I use wired (with remote and microphone) Sennheiser in-ear when cycling or sleeping ... I leave a pair of Sennheiser CX 300 permenantly on my bedside table for noise isolated "sleep phones".
I'm considering getting an iPhone 7 for £299 because it's got 256GB storage and has a decent camera (both front and back) with image stabilisation and decent performance. (better than iPhone SE) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPhone-7-Unlocked-32GB-128GB-256GB-Grade-A/382440661440
Both are iP67 (water resistant) and have a similar camera quality. https://youtu.be/T6HqueWG-Yw?t=370
iPhone 7 Plus 256GB is £399: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPhone-7-PLUS-32GB-128GB-256GB-All-Colours-UNLOCKED-Various-Grades/222473013601 I've never had a "plus" model of iPhone because I think it's not very useable in one hand. The dual camera system is good, bigger screen is nice for monitoring and battery life is better.
Battery life appears to be better on the iPhone X and it has wireless charging which is a major plus! But if those are my two "reasons" for upgrading then the iPhone 8 could be a cheaper option:
The iPhone 8 256GB is reasonably priced on ebay £459.95 with free postage: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Apple-iPhone-8-64GB-256GB-Silver-Grey-Gold-UNLOCKED-SIM-FREE-Smartphone/382387947343
https://youtu.be/hsPT04tMad8 Battery life appears to be better on iPhone 8 and wireless charging is a nice-to-have. I don't use Touch ID and don't feel that I would "miss" the home button on the X range ...
The "bottom swipe" for multi-tasking makes perfect sense to me. Using up the whole bottom of the device for a home button is such a waste of space. Apple could have gotten rid of the home button years ago, there's no reason why they didn't.
In pristine condition it's £709: https://www.ebay.co.uk/i/382293145499?var=651102081064
https://www.gadgetsnow.com/compare-mobile-phones/Apple-iPhone-SE-64GB-vs-Apple-iPhone-6s-128GB-vs-Apple-iPhone-7-256GB-vs-Apple-iPhone-X-256GB Optical Image Stabilisation for video: Battery:
I really wish Apple would release an "iPhone SE 2" with an upgraded Processor, Camera & Storage ... I would pay "full price" for it immediately because I really like having a good camera with lots of space in a smaller unassuming form factor. Searching for iPhone SE 2 returns lots of speculation:
https://www.macworld.co.uk/news/iphone/iphone-se2-3500611 The rumours/speculation are just that; they are useless to anyone trying to make a decision.
Why I still pay the "Apple Premium" instead of using a "cheap"(er) Android Phone? One word: Privacy.
I bought the Sony Experia Z5 back in 2015 and it was really good as a camera. It had a dedicated camera button on the side and took good photos overall. I attempted to use the camera when (shallow) swimming in Gerês as it was advertised https://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=Sony+Xperia+Z5+Compact+advert
But the "water resistance" failed: https://twitter.com/nelsonic/status/784142292374413312
Sony sent me a new Z5 Compact and I used it for a few months, but it gradually slowed down. It's widely known that Android phones "slow down" as you use them e.g: https://www.tuxera.com/blog/why-is-my-android-phone-slowing-down/ I tried resetting the phone to factory settings in the hope that it would speed up, but it slowed down again after less than a month. Kind of a deal-breaker. 😢 The more you use the phone the slower it gets. Takes longer to open apps and take/access photos! The Sony Z5 is still a good Android "Test Device" if no Apps are installed and not too many photos taken, but trying to use it as your "daily" phone is a joke. It overheats after only a couple of minutes of shooting video and "blacks out" when it overheats.
Long story short, I went back to using an iPhone because my experience on Android was poor.
I feel that Android is an objectively better operating system than iOS. I really like the home screen "widgets" and customisability. But I cannot stand the fact that Google Tracks everything in it. https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2018/aug/13/google-location-tracking-android-iphone-mobile
https://lifehacker.com/the-privacy-enthusiasts-guide-to-using-android-1792432725 I should not need to "jump through hoops" to protect my privacy on a device I own and paid good money for! It should just not track me, that's not what I "signed up for"! I don't feel that I have anything to "hide" but that's not the point! Google should should be "smacked" with a Billion Dollar GDPR fine! (but even then they would not learn! location data is just too valuable to them, they would just fight it in court and add a few lines to their "Terms & Conditions" and keep doing it...!)
If google did not have a such a flagrant disrespect for user privacy, I would buy a Pixel 3 immediately.
If I really didn't care about privacy, I would consider a Huawei P20 or even a (Xiaomi) Pocophone F1 MKBHD did a "Blind Smartphone Camera Test" in 2018 and those were the two "winners":
This GSM Arena video highlights the biggest "flaw" with the Pocophone F1: "MIUI" https://youtu.be/OD-21g9U3dw
Basically having the MiUI "interface" means you have a "RootKit" on your mobile. Everything you do on your device is being tracked and sent back to China. I have nothing against China (the country or the people), culturally I'm a huge fan! 🇨🇳 ❤️ I'm just not a "fan" of the "surveillance state" ... 😞
https://www.quora.com/Do-Xiaomi-phones-really-spy-on-our-data-question-details
I really wish the Huawei P20 Pro / Mate 20 Pro was not ... 🙊 By all accounts the Leica Camera is incredible! ⭐️
The same privacy concerns apply to OnePlus, Honor, Xiaomi, Pocophone, etc. (they're all sub-brands...) https://youtu.be/ZVHYcLV-H0A
In a nutshell, my reasoning for wanting to "upgrade" my phone is the camera. The iPhone SE has a unquestionably good camera; it has served me very well. I have not "suffered" from using it, that would be the definition of a "first world problem". The only "issues" I have with the iPhone SE https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IPhone_SE camera is the lack of Stabilisation in Video and the near-useless low-light capability. This has meant that a few of the videos I've taken are blurred and shaky (i.e. useless) and taking photos in anything other than perfect lighting conditions is "meh". The front-facing ("selfie") camera on the iPhone SE is 1.2 Megapixels. Seriously, it's not good at all. And while I don't take a lot of "selfies" because I'm not self-obsessed/absorbed and don't use Instagram I still love taking photos with Inês (because she is gorgeous) and I cannot get enough of her smile! 😍
While I have a "good" (pocket/travel) camera in the G7X MKII which is good for travel/street photos and a "beast" camera in the Sony A7 which does amazing quality and low-light and I will continue to use for "planned" shots ... I find that I don't carry either of my dedicated cameras with me day-to-day. I take way (20x) more photos on my iPhone SE than I do with my "real" cameras. So I feel that "upgrading" my phone's camera is the smart thing to do to get better/more photos.
The iPhone X will scratch if it comes in contact with anything of significantly high "hardness" and it will "flex" if you apply enough pressure to it, but both of these are easy to avoid with a case & tempered glass screen protector and not being a muppet respectively. (seriously who bends a phone?!) https://youtu.be/twY6zUj-t20
Apple appear to have dramatically improved the durability of the glass back in the iPhone XS: https://youtu.be/WKayUI0sppQ
Provided the phone is used in a Case (I would not dream of using an iPhone without a case), it looks to be durable from a head-height (180cm) drop!
@iteles you're hilarious! 🤣 Feel free to "mute" this thread if my "thinking" on this is distracting you. 🙄
I contacted the seller on eBay to check if VAT was reclaimable. Sadly it's not. 😞
I'm going to take the iPhone SE to the Building Site and film with the DJI Osmo Mobile 2 Gimbal
Once I make
time to edit and upload the video, I will attempt to see how far "color grading" gets me.
I haven't had an Android phone since my Sony Z5 which kept slowing down ... (see above) I've never had a "stock" Android phone ... though I've wanted one since the Nexus 4 ... 🤔
I'm "tempted" to consider a Pixel 3 specifically for the camera and "smart" features: https://youtu.be/E67Klqw2H-E
The "Night Sight" low-light photo is nuts:
"Free" Unlimited Cloud Storage (lock-in) for Original Quality Photos + 4K Video:
Thankfully, it's hideously over-priced at £839 for 128GB https://store.google.com/gb/config/pixel_3?hl=en-GB
Yes, it can be purchased for less (£599) on eBay: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/GOOGLE-PIXEL-3-NEW-CONDITION-5-5-128GB-OLED-4GB-RAM-BLACK-UNLOCKED/264189779057 But it's unclear if buying it 2nd hand will include the Google Photos "Unlimited" storage ... Which, depending on how many photos/videos you take, could be worth hundreds of $£€ over the 3+ years of the device ...
Saf did a camera comparison video, the front-facing camera and microphone is much better on iPhone XS Max (which is the same as iPhone XS) as is the video stabilisation and autofocus: https://youtu.be/S9qNHYtNsik However the wide-angle front-facing camera on the Pixel 3 captures more background: But the image seems "washed out" ... Same thing on the rear camera: (colors are less vivid in video)
According to MKBHD's 2018 Smartphone Awards, the "Best Camera" (for Photos) is Pixel 3: https://youtu.be/cpIEWsQpRMk
However the best camera for Video is the iPhone XS:
Pixel 3 is objectively the best front ("wide angle selfie") camera: https://www.dxomark.com/category/smartphone-reviews
The reason I'm considering a Pixel 3 is that I already use:
So technically Google already has access to most things I'm using my Phone for ... I feel that Google's "assistant" being "always listening" and storing everything I say/do so they can profile me and sell my data to Advertisers ... 😞
Can I just buy BOTH iPhone XS & Pixel 3 and stop wasting time thinking/researching about this? 🙄
I agree with Matt D'Avella's point on "Upgrades" ...
Even if I can "afford" it, I don't need a new phone. I just wish I could get better camera on my phone without a whole new device.
New Info: The Google Pixel 3 on Ebay (£599) has the Unlimited Full Quality Photo/Video Storage and VAT reclaim so I can buy it as a company (ideaQ) phone and get £120 "cash back" from HMRC (because I've already collected/paid a mountain of VAT in the current financial year!)
On the basis that the Camera is hands down the best in the biz (excluding Samsung Note 9 which is massive, has bloatware and will be slow to upgrade android OS in the future ... and Mate 20 Pro which has it's own "issues" noted above) ... given that I already use Google Photos to "auto backup" all my photos/videos and this camera is miles better than than my iPhone SE, I will use the Pixel 3 as my Camera, GPS and Work Email/Messaging device, and continue
to use my "old" (2016) iPhone as my personal device for (family) iMessage/Facetime, etc.
Ebay listing detail: Lame that it doesn't come with any other accessories (like the USB-C to headphone adapter and USB-C headphones) but I probably am not going to use either of those things, so it's "OK". I prefer to get the cash discount off the "full" price of this device which I can apportion to the headphones I actually use.
Yes, it's a ton of money to spend. The "final price" to me will be £480 which is a lot. 💸 But I intend to take enough professional photos to justify that and if I also get a few personal "selfies" with my Boo, that will be a mega bonus! 😍
Ordered it! cause YOLO FOMO JOMO!
But seriously this is below the retail price and it will hold it's value. If I don't like I can sell it without making a loss!
iPhone XR photography: https://youtu.be/hPdtQQxPlMg 😮
In this video Rene Ritchie summarises how much data (and how often) google is collecting on Android: https://youtu.be/x2lbVRqBFdY
While I don't feel like I have anything to "hide", I still don't agree with what Google are doing ... 😕
Google knows me pretty well ... But still seems to show me bizarre adverts for stuff I would never buy. I really wish there was a way to disable ads for specific brands like Nestle and Coca Cola. 🙄
https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-11/256gb-black
@iteles your iPhone XR still sells for £600 ± on eBay right now. (if you recall, we paid £599 in Feb'19)
So £132 is the difference ... (minus seller £30 fees ...) OR you could give your XR to Madi ... (who has a horrible/ancient/slow Samsung phone with a terrible camera and has legitimate reason/need for a much better camera for both work and family ...)
The biggest difference you would experience from an upgrade to iP11 is the better camera with better Portrait mode for food/object photography, the ultra-wide angle lens (useful for venue and landscape photos) and night mode.
This is probably not useful to most people, but I've used it a few times on my Pixel and it's much better on iPhone 11 ... https://youtu.be/gLrue6_Dajs
The Airport price for the iPhone 11 is:
Both of these prices are a decent £60 discount on the high street RRP.
But after watching this comparison video between the Pixel 3 and iPhone 11 camera for both photos and video: https://youtu.be/pu8ksHYYjFo I’ve concluded that the iPhone 11 is not enough of an upgrade in terms of camera. Yes, I’d love to have the 13mm ultra wide angle lens, but other than that, it’s not enough of a difference in picture quality.
Going to hold onto the Pixel 3 for now. 👍🏻
Context: I've had the Google Pixel 3 since Feb 2019 and it's bee good. I especially like the fact that I can double-tap the power button to start the Camera App. What I don't like is: (a) Android lacks several Apps that are built-in to iOS such as iMovie, Voice Recording or Podcasts that are all great on iPhone but the "free" equivalents on Android all have annoying ads and horrible UI/UX. I could buy Apps that do these things but any of these apps still require unrestricted access to all files on my device. i.e. even if the paid App is good, I still have to trust that it isn't mining my data. The permissions system (privacy) is so much better on iOS. (b) I'm not a fan of Google knowing everything about me and always listening. 😕
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SIM-Free-Apple-iPhone-11-6-1-Inch-128GB-12MP-4G-Dual-Sim-Mobile-Phone-Black/362899044537 Sticker prices is £633.99 which is already good deal. But there's a £50 discount that brings it down to £583.99
And given that it's sold by a UK Business, we can reclaim the VAT so it's a further 20% (£116.80) off. So the actual cost is: £467.19
For reference this phone costs £779 on Apple's website right now: https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-11/6.1-inch-display-128gb-black
I was tempted by the 2020 iPhone SE which starts at £419 but the 128Gb version is £469 https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-se/4.7-inch-display-128gb-red While I definitely prefer the smaller phone, I feel that I would use the Ultra-wide Lens very often.
Night mode: https://youtu.be/rEIx8C2UhX4
Ultrawide:
Selife (front facing) Camera has much wider angle:
3 Months later I'm really glad got the iPhone 11 for the camera alone!
I use the wide-angle lens every day without fail when I want to capture more context in my photos, especially of the house. The ultrawide lens has a 13mm
equivalent focal length (that's a 120-degree field of view) and an f2.4
aperture.
As noted above https://github.com/nelsonic/nelsonic.github.io/issues/31#issuecomment-625860943 ⬆️ the actual cost is £467.19 (after discount and VAT rebate) and it's much cheaper than any other Camera of equivalent quality.
I take 20x
as many photos on my iPhone than I do on (all) my other cameras combined because it's always in my pocket.
And because of iOS 14
"Tap Back" shortcuts feature see: https://www.theverge.com/2020/6/23/21300157/ios-14-hidden-feature-back-tap-accessibility-custom-commands e.g: https://youtu.be/zyRhslOC55k
I now have a physical way of launching the Camera App (without needing to touch the screen) which means I can almost achieve the "Fast Draw" I had with Pixel 3. The Pixel 3 physical button did not require unlocking the device and is a little faster as it's built-in to the OS, which meant I could do the double-tap as part of the "draw" (removing the phone from my pocket) not after I've held it up to my face to unlock.
I think when the iPhone 12 Comes out later this year, if the camera is better in a significant way, I will not wait to buy it. I will sell my iPhone 11 (or give it to a family member who needs a more recent phone) and Upgrade immediately.
The iPhone 11
has been really good. I've taken over 15k photos and 1k+ videos with it in the last 16 months. 🖼️
It really has been a case of "The Best Camera Is the One That's With You". 📸
My phone still has 53gb
of free space and is working well. 📱
No regrets whatsoever buying it. 👍
Closing as this thread is super long and not relevant to anyone else. ✅
Totally unnecessary!
This review of the camera(s) and cinematic mode is good:
https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-13-pro/6.1-inch-display-512gb-graphite 💰
The "frugal" person in me cannot bring myself to spend £1249
on a "Phone" ... 🙄
Sure getting £209
VAT back would soften the blow. But it's still £1040
💸
And yet, when you're talking about storage space and photo quality to document our kid's childhood.... 😉
@iteles when you put it that way, it's a no-brainer to spend all the money! 😜 🙄 💸
The photos I've been taking with my iPhone 11
(128 GB
) have been decent (no complaints, and still has 40 GB
).
Your iPhone XR
(256 GB
) 🦖 also takes "OK" photos but you've run out of space after 20 32 months (March 2019)
We could sell your XR
for roughly €320 (half what we paid for it) and put that money towards the new model:
https://swappie.com/pt-en/sell/iphone/11/6/
They will turn it around and make €150+ in profit from re-selling it ... 🤔 https://swappie.com/pt-en/iphone/iphone-xr/iphone-xr-256gb-white-2/
Or just keep the XR
as a "backup" phone. 💭
Oh no. I don't need one. I have everything backed up to Google photos so I just need to confirm I can safely delete things from my phone. That's the whole point.
My phone still works super fast, takes great photos and and holds onto a charge really well and I'm used to the size (although I still find it a bit too big for me). There are literally no advantages to getting a new phone for me, it just wouldn't be an upgrade 🤷🏻♀️
Apple has made the decision for me: no stock available till the end of the month ... ⏳ #ChipShortage
Once again, Apple's lack of stock availability - which makes sense at launch when everyone rushes to buy them -
has made my decision for me: order today and only receive 11 Oct - 18 Oct
...
https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/buy-iphone/iphone-14-pro/6.1-inch-display-256gb-space-black
I was very tempted by the new 14 Pro. Even at this ridiculous price! The camera looks great! 😍 Guess I'll stick with my 3 year old iPhone 11 for a bit longer. 👍
Once I understood that iPhone 14
has the same A15 Bionic
processor as last year's iPhone 13
🤷♂️
I realised that both these models are going to get the same useful life in terms of software updates from Apple.
Knowing that during the announcement week the people who need to have the latest model will sell their "old" one on ebay I bid and and won the following:
ORDER TOTAL £759.50
(including priority shipping)
The scratches on the side are almost invisible IRL:
I will always use it with a case so I will never see them.
The screen is pristine and it has 98% battery health
i.e. basically new
.
For reference the 1TB
model sold for £1449
a few weeks ago before they announced the iPhone 14
..
So it's not that painful for me to spend 760
on it.
Yes, this is still a lot of money for a phone. 💸
But it's a lot more palatable for me. 💭
I use my phone many times per day to take photos, and use/test our App
📱
So I feel like I can "justify" it. 🙄
My current iPhone 11
(non-pro) has 75k
photos and 5k
videos on it. 📸
I've taken 40k
of these in the last 20 months ... 👶 😍
I expect to be taking many more in the coming months with #2
arriving. 🤞
My iPhone 5 still works. but its slow, battery does not last much, out of storage/space and sometimes freezes... The new iPhone 6s (Camera) looks amaze: http://www.apple.com/uk/iphone-6s/cameras/
But I'm even more tempted by the Sony Z3+ which allows MicroSD expansion and has virtually all the same tech specs...
