Listened to the whole talk and find Jonathan's insights very good.
But he kinda "lost" me at 02:09:40 when he says:
It's very much a thing. And someone in the Video Game Industry is turning a blind eye to it. We have a cousin in our family who is so hooked on video games he cannot function as an adult. Lives at home. never leaves his room. plays games obsessively. no (IRL) friends. "gaming disorder" is recognised by the World Health Organisation: https://www.who.int/standards/classifications/frequently-asked-questions/gaming-disorder and many people suffer from it.
This is a classic case of:
“It is difficult to get a man to understand something, when his salary depends on his not understanding it.” ~ Upton Sinclair
Otherwise good insights. Closing as I wouldn't recommend someone watch this. it's way too long and should have been summarised into a 10 minute presentation.

This is 2h+ long so adding to "watch later" list ... ⏳
