City of Richmond and Richmond County issues #115

selecting the County results in receiving the City's data (This is in Virginia)

I'm not sure this is fixed yet. When I go to Richmond, VA, the CE Cards Home text reads: "Select one of the following for Richmond, VA in Richmond City" It should say "Select one of the following for Richmond, VA in Henrico County"

Richmond (City) is in Henrico County (FIPS code 51087) Richmond County is different. (FIPS code 51159)

The errant Fips code that should be deleted is 51760. See https://usa.databasesets.com/fips-county-code/search?keywords=51760 in which the county is misnamed as "Richmond City"

@LuAnn In Virginia, some cities are independent and have boundaries like a county. I think there is one other state this happens. In these cases, there is a separate fips code and data for the citiy. Richmond City is one of them. There is also a Richmond county in Virginia. The original issue caused Richmond county and Richmond City to show Richmond City data which was definitely wrong and was fixed.

Hopefully, This map illustrates this you can see the small independent cities within some counties. - https://www2.census.gov/geo/maps/general_ref/stco_outline/cen2k_pgsz/stco_VA.pdf

got it. And I feel better after I checked that Glen Allen, VA comes up as Henrico County as it should.
