There is nothing which I can find that is specifically allowing or disallowing breadcrumbs in the current module, so Charlie should be able to add them easily.

I think it would be helpful to dig a little deeper on this, to ensure that Charlie really will be able to add breadcrumbs and that the result will be acceptable.

In particular, if he simply enables breadcrumbs for the pages in the site (specifically, for the Data Source nodes), where will the breadcrumb end up being displayed? Will it fit nicely into the display, or does it show up in some odd place, or wrap around and/or interrupt the flow of the display in some awkward way? Also, what text will be used for the breadcrumb, and is that acceptable? In particular, if Drupal is generating the breadcrumb text automatically, it's conceivable to me that it might use the internal machine name for a data source, or some other text that we might want displayed differently. It'd be great if we could be proactive about noticing these things so that if/when Charlie turns on breadcrumbs, they work nicely.

However, none of these things need to be done for this week's release, so I'm labeling this issue as an enhancement. Let's return to it once everything else is done.

I also meant to say: one good test (or at least, a first-line defense of a test) of this would be to activate breadcrumbs on our dev site and see what they look like there.

I have added an example of what breadcrumbs would looks like when enabled on the live site and Charlie configures them. You can see an example here: http://dss-dev.nemac.org/data-snapshot/data-source-precipitation-outlook. There is no styling in the module that applies to them so they will maintain the sitewide stylings of climate.gov

Just as a note the stylings here have been removed due to me re-building the site. But if they need to be re-implemented for testing I can do so quickly.
