Followup question: on what layers to we want the mask to be available for? I am assuming all of the Forest NDVI Change (USFS TACs-NASA) but wanted to verify.
Per 2 Bills: All USFS TACs-NASA, current and archived.
The documentation for how to do this is on the MapServer page at: http://mapserver.org/trunk/development/rfc/ms-rfc-79.html
Actually, this issue belongs in nemac / fswms and nemac / seldon
Therefore, see https://github.com/nemac/fswms/issues/15 and https://github.com/nemac/seldon/issues/2
This file contains 4 rasters to be used in FCAV2 as masks.
Each raster is intended to isolate a specific land cover, or group of land covers, in the forest change images:
· Deciduous Forest · Conifer Forest · Mixed Forest · Range-Agriculture-Shrub/Scrub
We talked of using these in the interim before programming a more formal masking process (that would account for creating masks for unique combinations of all land cover types).
Each raster is binary where 0’s are mask (opaque), and 1’s are the cover type (transparent).
Thanks Derek, and make contact with any questions.
