Get rid of the workaround for dual use of LayoutPanel and regular panels #206

RootPresenter has two TODO related to a workaround for a bug in GWT regarding 
switching between layout panels and regular panels:

It looks like this can cause some problems with external widget libraries:

At some point we should see if this bug has been solved or if we can fix it 
ourselves upstream.
