Meta API similar to Fabric's one #1384

Is there any plans to make a meta API similar to Fabric's one? https://meta.fabricmc.net/

That would make installation proccess way easier for custom launchers.

There appears to be plans for this but will have to wait until we de-version the installer. Will take quite a bit of time before we get to this
