no text message notification using apex launcher #454

I am using Apex Launcher Pro on galaxy s4, all aspects of dashclock work EXCEPT 
for the text notifications. Dont know why everything else would work

I am having the same problem using Nova Launcher on my galaxy S4.

If you're using Apex Launcher Pro, have you tried using Apex Notifier to 
provide SMS Unread counts? You can add up to three Apex Notifer "widgets" to 
Dashclock, one of can be set to SMS. That might works as a workaround.

My fix was Apex settings> Notification settings> SMS app: set your messaging 
app, found mine had no app selected.
