This one is tricky:

We have "special" wiki page called WikiStart which should be displayed on the start page of a project
There is second special wiki page called "OverviewSidebar" which should be display as a sidebar on the start page of a project

Using spree/deface I was able to port the hacks into a plugin without the need to manually injecting the Redmine hook calls into the view templates.

I thought about extracting hook-injection into a separate plugin which could be used as a a dependency of some of our future plugins.
