Request for Access to NERC OpenShift Metrics and Configuration Data for Research Purposes

• Do you need user access to view NERC OpenShift metrics in Grafana for certain clusters or all clusters?

• Are you building a microservice to query the metrics?

  • No

• Are you pulling metrics once by hand?

  • No, the pulling is automated.

• Are you pulling them on a schedule?

  • Yes, pull at regular intervals for analysis purposes.

• How long will you need to query the metrics?

  • 1-2 weeks

• How much data do you plan to collect?

  • I'm not certain about the overall data size, as it will depend on the set of services and their configurations.

• Which metrics do you need to observe?

  • For each cluster, I need to collect:
  • Number of tenants
  • Number of virtual disks
  • Number of physical devices
  • Corresponding request/service rates in IOPS

• Also, NERC metrics data must remain in NERC systems only. Were you planning on pulling metrics out of NERC for any reason (research data gathering, reports)?

  • For research purposes.
