Motivation

IBM people running AI4DD demo would like to resolve the Web UI warning for notebooks launched by scripts to deliver a clear and warning-free interface and ensure a seamless user experience for customers.

Description

Here is the UI page when launching the notebook from script:
When creating a workbench programmatically (per https://github.com/EldritchJS/bmfm_creation/blob/main/create_notebook.sh), the RHOAI web ui displays the Notebook Image as Unknown/Deleted, the Container size as Unknown, and the PVC is not listed in Cluster storage. However, the workbench works properly when Open is clicked on.

The image/container size "unknown" issue has been resolved in the newer version of RHOAI (v2.13). To address the PVC not appearing in the RHOAI dashboard, add opendatahub.io/dashboard: 'true' to the notebook template YAML file. This change successfully enabled the PVC to display in the UI.
