I don't think this is possible without doing something hacky.
Plotly draws the tick mark texts at the left and bottom margins of the graph, not inside the graph. Since I set the margins to 0 to make the graph cover the entire page, they don't show up. I could restore the margin but the result wouldn't look like what you want.
