My question: Is it generally possible to create an UEFi-Boot compatible custom.iso under an just BIOS-based Computer WITHOUT UEFI!??
If i choose GRUB instead of ISOLINUX in remastersys, the EFI-files are copied!
At the end i have to say that you was right @nerun : this remastersys version got its focus on DEBIAN and is in my case NOT full compatible with debian-based LINUX MINT 21.1 (MATE), 64bit (-> initramfs-bug, missing resolv.conf in /etc, some error-message with ubiquity-installer,..). i made an image that was stable but people had to do some things to set up.
I was following your advice from some older posts, that CUBIC is maybe an alternative for UBUNTU-based distros and the last weeks we was working with cubic to remaster again from the ground and the image is really stable and without that 3 issues we found building our distro with remastersys.
I thank you for the great communication and help from your side. I hope there will be a compatible or special version for LINUX MINT of remastersys in the future. It's some different way to build like with cubic.
But for this moment we found in cubic a great and powerful tool that brought us a stable release-version: https://qstudio64.tumblr.com
Thank you really much and c u in the future here maybe..
Here we are again..
What is the reason that all efi-files are missing in livesystem?
Did with remastersys 4.9, isolinux on a NON UEFI pure BIOS-based system.
Should i remaster on an UEFI based Computer to get both working in livesystem: UEFI and BIOS-based installs
OR
Should i use GRUB as option to rebuild to get UEFI working??
So there is nothing wrong with the liveimage, just that is to install in CSM/BIOS-mode and NOT supporting EFI...:()
