The icons + and - disappeared

Describe the bug The icons + and - have disappeared since the last update to hass 2021.11.4.

To Reproduce

1. Set up a compact version of simple-thermostat in lovelace
2. Cannot see the + and - icons

Expected behavior See the + and - icond

same here, something worth to mention though, the buttons are always there for me, look at the invisible-ish circle, it will show up if I put my mouse on it. and it works when I click. just being invisible and in wrong place
