[Suggestion] Open source the tic80.com web site #1659

I talked with @technomancy on #fennel irc channel about Tic-80 and Fennel development, and there has apparently been some discussion previously on issue #923 about open sourcing the Tic80 web site code. I heard the site is coded with NodeJS.

I am a web developer who can help (with frontend, UI design and backend), and so are @jf1x and maybe @msx80 also. @technomancy also wrote, that he would submit some pull requests (related to Fennel language support and other things), if only the site was open source.

So, may I suggest that the web site code be open sourced as @msx80 proposed? Maybe assign a small team at first to communicate and create a project plan, and then quite soon open it to public pull requests?

I'm still keen to do a PR here and there if nesbox chooses to open the website repo.

I agree with this

nesbox commented 3 years ago

I'm going to open it, but I need to prepare the sources for this. Pls wait...

I'd be happy to help too! I always loved this project but I couldn't contribute because I don't know C++...

You can turn on GitHub Pages for this. It allows custom domains, as long as they point to GitHub.
