Hi, This was discussed on the discord recently. From what I understood that does not apply to Tic80. Tic80 has a retro style but that's recent games nonetheless and that's not an emulator either.
Related to https://github.com/nesbox/TIC-80/pull/2347
I've checked in the app store by searching "fantasy console" and I've noticed that there is an app that has been online for at least 6 years for the LowRes NX Coder console with 327 ratings, with all of the features of the desktop version.
Hello,
I don't know if this is where I should put this, but I've noticed that in order to install the iOS version of Tic80, you need to do some sort of weird stuff to actually get it down on your phone.
But recently Apple has started allowing "retro emulators" on the app store, and I am wondering if that applies to Tic80, which could be passed off as a retro emulator in a way.
The issue though I realize is the paywall needed to get apps actually on the store. It appears to be 99 USD to register in the apple developers program, which is required to publish apps. We would also need someone with an updated Apple device that can actually publish and build the app through XCode.
Again, I'm not completely sure of the reason Tic80 isn't on the app store, but I am curious if there might be a chance it can be due to this new allowance Apple is giving.
Thanks.
