Update telegraf to latest, fix tests, and add local testing instructions

Related to Issue #7.

Hi, I'm not sure if this repo is open to pull requests but I made some changes that I thought might be useful to other users.

• Fixed compatibility issue with latest telegraf
• Allowed setting of credentials in .env
• Update local test instructions.
