Define querying strategy

• [ ] Define querying strategy given limits (1500 tweets per person) - consider dates, re-tweets, tweet type, shallow querying across all handles or for one? etc.

A few observations:

• gambling companies have multiple accounts that are specific to different activities. i.e. Ladbrokes has a main account but also has one for political betting; the national lottery has one for its community fund etc.
• Twitter actually has policies on what gambling sites are allowed to advertise: https://business.twitter.com/en/help/ads-policies/ads-content-policies/gambling-content.html
• all the twitter 'abouts' said you had to 18+ and they linked to BeGambleAware
• images/gifs/videos everywhere! I scrolled for down for a few months across a few of these accounts and didn't see a tweet that didn't also include an image/gif/video.
• looks like there was a safer 'gambling' week (13-19) so we might want to avoid tweets from this period

I think we could opt for the broadest range of gambling tweets to get a high level sense of the landscape so I would suggest:

filter for...

• original tweets
• using main twitter handles
• NOT between 13/11/2023 - 19/11/2023
