erases things on the canvas

I was looking into KidPix on a friend's vintage Apple Macintosh Powerbook and there was this bomb tool. Mouse click intitiated an exploded spray which erased all things in its path. It would be cool to have that be an option for this eraser. Maybe as an "Option"
