Vless + TLS has a weird behavior on Iran VPS

Hi, I have a vps which is located in Iran and connected to a vps outside of Iran via sshuttle.

I have set up the v2ray, Vless + TLS successfully and have internet access.

The weird thing is that I have access to some banned applications and websites such as Telegram, but I don't have access to Instagram, YouTube, Facebook etc.

Twitter opens but pictures and videos doesn't load!

It seems that Vless + TLS have some problems with media!

At the same time, I have a vps outside of Iran and also set up Vless + TLS and it works fine without that weird problem.

Do you guys know what is going wrong?

Indeed it's weird. One hypothesis is that your VPS in Iran (somehow) has access to a more limited network (blocked protocols e.g.)

It can be that they completely block these protocols on VPS network.

Thank you for your reply. It's not about blocked protocols I think, because I have Internet connection and Telegram messenger working fine.

I just have problem connecting to media based websites and applications like Instagram, YouTube etc.

May be the IP reputation for your Iran-based VPS is relatively low and it's facing rate limitation/capcha/denial of service/etc.

We are facing all of those limits + more issues with internet access in Iran right now. It's our routine lifestyle.

Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

V2rayng had a lot of shortcomings I have log if someone wants

Yes I'm facing some serious problems with V2rayN client on Windows. But I don't have problem with V2rayNG Android and Fair VPN on iOS.

May be the IP reputation for your Iran-based VPS is relatively low and it's facing rate limitation/capcha/denial of service/etc.

This is my guess. Many of these services use separate domains for serving media and videos. Twitter has twimg.com, Facebook has fbcdn.net, Google has googleusercontent.com, etc. For example, there is a thread at NTC about how a block of yt3.ggpht.com broke user photos on YouTube.

If you can open the browser console while accessing one of the sites that doesn't work, you can get more information. For example, the difference of a timeout or a "403 Forbidden" HTTP response can help determine if the cause is the filternet or if it's server-side blocking.

It's related to DNS resolving in your VPS. telegram work because it uses IP but Instagram uses domain. in your VPS DNS request resolved in Iran Network

@surbiks it is indeed a DNS problem for sure. They are disrupting DNS I guess. https://github.com/net4people/bbs/issues/150#issuecomment-1299349525 Could we fix this? Do you have a working setup?
