Tor Browser 10.5 was just released. Here is the announcement: https://blog.torproject.org/new-release-tor-browser-105
Here's @cohosh's informative description of Snowflake in the new release, with tips on how to run a Snowflake proxy, report bugs or contribute to development, and do research on Snowflake metrics. https://blog.torproject.org/snowflake-in-tor-browser-stable
Tor Browser 10.5, scheduled to be released soon, will include the Snowflake pluggable transport. Snowflake has been in the alpha series of Tor Browser for more than a year; this is the first time it will be in the stable series.
[tor-qa] Tor Browser 10.5 is ready for testing https://people.torproject.org/~sysrqb/builds/10.5-build1/
The 10.5 release is now in prerelease testing. See the tor-qa announcement if you'd like to try a release candidate build and perhaps report bugs.
The first-run interface is going to be different in Tor Browser 10.5, but it should be familiar for people configuring circumvention options. Go to Tor Network Settings (
about:preferences#tor
), select Use a bridge, then Select a built-in bridge: Snowflake.
