I've uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted and every combination of that, but I can't seem to get the editor to look proper. Not sure how to fix this or maybe I'm setting something wrong.

You miss the color_scheme setting, example :

"color_scheme": "Packages/User/Phoenix Dark Green - Eighties.tmtheme",
ericchernuka commented 11 years ago

Ah. Totally missed that. And if you wanted to use the Light or Dark settings, is there a specific color_scheme that is referenced for the examples? Sorry for all the questions. Just running into a road block mimic'ing the examples. Thanks in advance. 687474703a2f2f62616c6c656a61756e652e6e65742f70686f656e69782f50686f656e69782d4c696768742d426c75652e706e673f763d35 687474703a2f2f62616c6c656a61756e652e6e65742f70686f656e69782f50686f656e69782d4461726b2e706e673f763d36

Custom Phoenix colors schemes are available in Preferences> Color Scheme> Theme - Phoenix.

Also, the color scheme used in this screenshots are:

Light: Clouds - http://fredhq.com/projects/clouds/ Dark: Tomorrow Night - https://github.com/chriskempson/tomorrow-theme
