Hello there!

You plan a OpnSense plugin, similar with Tailscale do?

mlsmaycon commented 2 years ago

Hello @vampywiz17 thanks for your suggestion. We need to have a look in detail into the OPNsense plugin documentation and get back to you.

@mlsmaycon

Glad to hear!

Now i use "pure" wireguard with OpnSense but i found trubles with my "road warriors" if they try to connect from corporate, or other restricted networks. (like restaurant, or similar),

First i try "hidden" my wieguard UDP communication a TLS TCP tunnel, but to comlicate to configure it and need to use a second client near the VPN client on "client side".

First i found Tailscale, but wireguard "only go" imlementation is scares me. After i found this project and sound really cool. The TURN relay i hope solve the corporate network restriction (i know, it slower, but at least work...) and the supported system kernel based wireguard is also great feature!

+1 from me, I would also love to see an OPNsense plugin. It really must have routing abilities also (like netmaker), so I can control the traffic directly with firewall rules.

I'm using Zerotier and pure Wireguard, but I am looking to add TOTP authentication to have the users "log in" to the VPN every few weeks (for compliance reasons).

Thanks for the project, I'm really liking what I see so far (especially the system tray on Linux).

+1 from me, too. Also since this has been stale for a while it seems.

I'd love to see an OPNsense plugin as well! I leave the arguments to others, they already gave a few great ones!

I wasn't aware that Zerotier have an OPNsense plugin available: https://docs.opnsense.org/manual/how-tos/zerotier.html

@mlsmaycon What is the current status of this issue? I would also love to see this feature in the future.

I would love an OPNSense Netbird Plugin, or specific installation instructions as the install command fails.

Please make this happen :pray:
