Docs: improve inventory and configuration sections

This PR fixes some issues in the configuration and inventory sections of the documentation:

• Fix some errors in the rate limiting documentation
• Add some clarifications and examples in the inventory section
• Clarify where an example of the configuration file can be found
• Fix typos and links
