Question: use script option in netshot to get adhoc information from device #308

Hello,

Is it posisble to run a show command on one device on demand, without using diagnostic? I want some kind of flexible way to show certain information, like the mac address or route for one prefix. I want to use netshot so I don`t need to give users direct cli access to my devices.

Hope I make clear what my goal is.

Hello, you can create a script to execute on the device. It is possible now to make the script ask for parameters if needed. https://github.com/netfishers-onl/Netshot/wiki/User-Guide:-Devices#running-scripts-on-devices

Another options can be to create your drivers and get more information to store in general or in general panel, and a snapshot will update this data
