don't talk about nonexistent bridges #12

When pathfinder doesn't know about any bridges, and encounters a
self-signed cert it doesn't trust, it shouldn't say "trying to build a
bridge ... failing to build a bridge" on two or three lines or whatever; it
should just say "no bridges defined, giving up on untrusted self-signed
cert" or something easier to understand.
