Npc text Bug: The npc's Kradu Grimblade and Zula slagfury in Shattrath gives you the option to say: I wish to unlearn Armorsmithing! when spoken too, even if you don't have Blacksmithing as a profession.

This was a lot bigger than I expected. Seems like you cannot unlearn or learn Specialized smithing at the moment.

First of all you must speak with Myolor Sunderfury - aliance or Krathok Moltenfist - horde – if you have minimal 200 skill of Blacksmithing and level 40 you can chose specialization into Armorsmithing or Weaponsmithing. He will direct the character to either Ironus Coldsteel (aliance weaponsmithing) or Grumnus Steelshaper (aliance armorsmithing) or Okothos Ironrager Steelshaper (horde armorsmithing) or Borgosh Corebender (horde weaponsmith), opening up the respective initiation quests. Myolor Sunderfury or Krathok Moltenfist is also NPC for re-speccing from Armorsmith to Weaponsmith or vice versa, after you unlearned specialization. Detail questpath of armorsmiths is detail described here and weaponsmith is described here. If you wish to specialize even further in Weaponsmithing, you can become an Axesmith, Hammersmith, or a Swordsmith. You must be level 50 with a blacksmithing skill level of 250 with the Weaponsmithing specialty. The subspecialties are taught by trainers in Everlook, Winterspring. There is no cost to learn a Weaponsmithing subspeciality and it does not require a quest patch Patch 2.0.12. The three trainers are: Axesmithing – Kilram Hammersmithing – Lilith the Lithe Swordsmithing – Seril Scourgebane

Unlearning: This table shows trainers, that can unlearn your specialization and cost of it. I researched it a lot and I did not find anything about price stacking so I suppose, that price is fixed (does not matter how many times you have unlearned specialization) unlearn table

Ohh and I forgot Kradu Grimblade is unlearning specialization in a lot of servers but I did not found any mention about it! So it looks like, that it is just a next mistake rooted in scriptDev2

I can confirm that learning and unlearning specializations seems to work fine at Orgrimmar/Everlook trainers, but the Shattrath NPCs have incorrect responses mentioned above (and they can't be used for unlearning specialization despite them having a dialogue option for it).

As exitus already pointed out, there seems to be no mention of them ever having been able to teach (or forfeit) specializations in the first place, however.
