if you iceblock while mid air you stay at that location until iceblock wears off or you click off the buff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zGAircD10E

This video suggests you should continue to travel with iceblock on https://youtu.be/z-uwu5wGSS8?t=31s

I noticed this also happened if you lose a duel mid air.

Seems to be the same for freezing trap, this is how it worked in vanilla and in early TBC though, but I suspect this was done unintentionally by Shiro.

snooping around in wowwikki ice block history i found this on the 19.jan.2007

"This is another way for a mage to avoid fall damage (see Blink and Slow Fall). Ice Block reduces fall speed to zero, allowing caster to stay in the air while the spell is active. Fall damages are reset to zero once it breaks, so casting very near the ground will prevent the damage."

didnt check if falldmg was reset to zero before iceblock ran out.

As SD commented this was changed in later parts of tbc

http://wowwiki.wikia.com/Patch_2.3.0/Undocumented_changes#Classes "Ice Block no longer stops character from falling. i.e. You will continue falling after you have activated it, and will absorb any fall damage if you land while in the block."

On the same page, kind of related: "Bodies will now fall to the ground when killed in mid air, continuing their previous momentum. Players cannot release their spirits until the body has landed."

Can't seem to find any docs regarding falling while stunned/incapacited/rooted.
