10 years ago It seems to work for me on Mountain Lion.
Did you close the issue because you got it to work? Did you just need to run the application (I see that the Readme was updated)?

This is precisely what I've been looking for. But I'm using OS X Mountain Lion, and after performing the installation it doesn't seem to do anything, even after restarting the SystemUIServer. Not sure if I'm missing something, or it just doesn't support 10.8 and beyond (which makes sense). If it doesn't I was wondering if that support may be coming at any point in the future.
