webapp
becomes scionviz
?
I'd still argue viz
means completely nothing to me, but this is already much much better than webapp
:)
Just some suggestions:
scionlab-hud
scionlab-dashboard
scionlab-control-panel
myScionlab
iScionlab
:balloon: scionlab-viewer
?
iScionlab
is growing on me :1st_place_medal:
scionlab-dashboard

dashboard sounds good ... descriptive.
Was trying to find a good word that starts with SL, but there are not that many. SLICK has some good meanings, the acronym expansion is ScionLab Investigator and CheKer.

SCIONLab Experiments Dashboard
Having only just recently been exposed to the "webapp", I think SCIONLab Experiments Dashboard sounds very fitting and I would immediately understand the purpose. 👍
In the meantime, all demo applications are built and installed with a mostly reasonable binary name (scion-netcat
, scion-sshd
, etc).
We can still keep this open, as the "webapp" name is still there. I'll edit the title of this issue to only refer to renaming webapp. At the moment, nobody is really maintaining webapp though, and I'm not sure what will happen with it.
Following up on https://github.com/netsec-ethz/netsec-scion/issues/61, as SCION apps are (will be) installed into
/usr/bin
thus globally available on the end users' systems, they shouldE.g.
netcat
orssh
is something that has to be renamed as we cannot blindly install a binary namednetcat
into any system which we expect to be still functional afterwards :)
