Because the hud is displayed with solid colours (as opposed to semi-transparency), plasma burn-in is a thing. This is also a problem with Isaac without missing hud, though that's a separate issue (one I hope can be modded). Would it be possible to make the numbers semi-transparent instead?
For the record, using semi-transparency being a fix is a bit of an assumption on my part. I have just as many hours logged on Rocket League, however, and its semi-transparent HUD items are notably not a part of the burn-in.
