I turned on the Travis-CI for the notebooks repository but not sure if I need to do something else too.

Maybe you have to push a new change to trigger a rebuild> I was able to trigger a build on travis by pushing a very small commit. Here's the failed tests

@dschult I haven't configured the travis.yml file yet on this repo. I am working on it :)

Closing this, the repo is binderized in https://github.com/networkx/notebooks/pull/8 and not using travis not anymore.
