GSoC 2021 : ESLint Integration(Configuration files updated and changes made to JS files) #282

The following changes have been made:

ESLint Config file has been updated as @r03ert0 specified.
Changes have been made to the repository as per linting rules.
Test directory has been exempted as we will work on them as we move forward.
View directory has been excluded from the linting watch.

looks good! the only thing I saw were some function definitions using var instead of const
