What didn't work?

This is just a question; does this driver supports 5g wifi? I have a new 5g modem (with 2.4 and 5g) but I can't see the wifi associated to the 5g access point.

I tried to check what frequencies does my network card supports and this is the output (no 5g displayed):

This driver only works on 2.4ghz I guess. Lookup for your network card specs, it shouldn't be 5ghz compatible.
