Open neurobin opened 5 years ago
As I said in https://github.com/neurobin/MT7630E/issues/85#issuecomment-353284972 I'm not really a C developper, but I still use a laptop using this package, so if I can be of any help, let me know.
It looks like a mainline driver for this device is being worked on: https://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/tree/drivers/net/wireless/mediatek/mt76/mt76x0/pci.c#n231
It seems to work fine with kernel 4.20 except that when I go to sleep mode, and wake up, then the wifi will not reconnect anymore.
Do any of you have the same bug ?
My speed is really unstable and there is no connection after the wake up so yeah...
Got an answer from the maintainer : it's not supported for the moment but will be
Any news?
any news ?
I just gave up on this WiFi adapter 5 years ago, and I have been using Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter
.
Somehow when I use Realtek RTL8188CE 802.11b/g/n WiFi Adapter
, then remove it, and add MEDIATEK Corp. MT7630e 802.11bgn Wireless Network Adapter
, MT7630e works flawlessly without bluetooth support until I restart my machine.
I did the same. But opted for a refurbished Intel Corporation Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260, this also meant buying an extra antenna for extra performance. This card is natively supported by the Linux Kernel, so I have one less hardware worry to think about.
