Hi, I'm working on manually categorizing our vocabulary.

We are using the following categories:

It would be great if someone could help/check.

As per our last meeting:

[x] tag all anatomical terms so they can added to the technical vocabulary
[x] run the code & extract the occurrence matrix to decide the level of anatomical resolution to be used
[ ] map terms (and coordinates) to be able to run the neuroquery-style algorithm to learn function-structure mapping

Hello! I am going to be working on this issue during BrainhackDonostia. Some things that come to my mind:

Should we have a definition for the categories so they are easier to manually tag? For disease I see we are classifying everything that could fall under that category (for instance "ache" which is a sympton) but some other words are hard to categorize like "acid"
Methods category: Neuroquery only has "eeg" but we should try to cover all techniques related to neuroscience, I will be adding a few (feel free to check/correct/add)
I put "?" next to some words I wasn't sure how to classify but could fit there
I also tagged some words as task/concepts cause they could work under both

More food for thoughts:

neuroquery tried to have a vocabulary comparable to neurosynth as to allow an evaluation of the two different pipelines (one argument to keep as many terms as they have them)

Hello,

Just a little update on the Vocabulary sheet and my observations:

Valentina and I sort of extended the labels of "concept" to also "functions", and "disease" to "diagnosis" as there are many terms that are not necessarily pathological but are rather symptoms or diagnoses.
There are several duplicates of the same words
Many abbreviations especially for the anatomical terms (ex: spl, stg)
Some terms are reversed such as "representation body." I tried to put those that I came across in green.
Some names are presented alone which don't make sense in isolation but apparently are a disease/syndrome or an anatomical term (ex: kennedy -> Kennedy's disease, willis -> circle of Willis).
