With Darcy we made sure we were able to get a URL that links directly to the files in Zenodo. Yes. (right click on the file: copier l'adresse du lien). Need to know if this URL is 'long-lasting'
Need to create a GitHub account Note: Not everyone will read all the docs or look at videos to be trained on how to use git hub. (I did not). Step 1: Fork : OK Step 2: Clone on local computer: OK Step 3: Edit your local clone, and commit your changes using datalad save..... ???? looked at detailled instructions
datalad create -d . investigators/
OK now I need to bring up a terminal and work with command line: I don't know how. I would prefer to have Git Hub instructions. It seems to be easy to upload a file on Git Hub, but we need a zenodo URL.. is it possible to do this in Git Hub and not on command line??
OK let's try to work with command line (with the help of my boyfriend):
before doing that I need to install Git, Git Annex and Datalad, on y=my computer. Those instructions are in the README in the conp-dataset repo. Not intuitive to me, but intuitive for my helper.
Note: I would not able to download things from an hospital computer (douglas).
Not clear on how to install datalad. We discovered that we need to install Python in order to install datalad. We were wondering if possible to get datalad from a web page. No.. command line only.
Ok start step 3. error messages, need to be in the good cd ...error: not recognising git annex.. Terminal change from cmd to bash Error message again...
He finally got it created it took at least... 1h30 ..
the rest to be continued tomorrow.....
this took 1
Put a file on Zenedo Follow Tristan's instruction (https://github.com/CONP-PCNO/conp-dataset/blob/master/.github/CONTRIBUTING.md) Document the challenges
