This has been an issue in the team, and I've had questions from researchers. This page would be a nice place to document everything,

@neuroinformatics-unit/neuroinformatics-all is this a problem anymore? My feeling is that Apple silicon is "nearly there". I haven't come across any general Python issues, only with specific libraries.
