Currently adapting changes to settings.json can be error prone. E.g. "frequency_ranges_hz" needs to be known by the user and checked if the key is written out correctly.
Potential options:
Write a settings.py class, that allows setting only specific values. E.g. settings.frequency_ranges_hz = XYZ. Currently
