Enable scheduled tests of the latest NEURON release when v8.0 is released #2

The first version of this workflow, added in #1, only tests the default branch of NEURON.

In principle we would also like to regularly test the latest released version on all platforms, perhaps slightly less frequently (e.g. weekly instead of daily), starting from the v8.0 release.
