Oh yeah and being a logi pilot, the ability to include blue and red logi/probers/spys/whatever that weren't actually involved in the kill would be good (obviously making a distinction between people on the kill and those manually added).

How would we control this? I like it but I'm worried people would just add themselves for the hell of it or random people for the lulz factor.

I'm not sure this should be supported on a universe-wide public killboard. However, if we choose to also host ally/corp killboards, and obviously, people downloading the code to run their own instance, may want this feature. There would need to be an accounts system that gave admin users the ability to allow people to use this, whether by account validation =or password on the entry itself.

How would the point system work on this? Just don't want someone to add themselves to a shit load of mails to whore a bunch of points when it is all bullshit. I just don't think this is something we can control, even if it requires API.

If only CCP would just add Logi's to kill mails. They know if someone RR's a war target because they turn red when they do. How hard can it be?

As far as scouts go, that is practically impossible really. On a personal note, if I was a scout I would not want to be on a kill mail so no one researches me when I show up in local. Would net more kills tbh. But that again is just me.

On an ally/corp killboard, scouts could be made private to, say, directors+ only for security. Maybe designated FCs have the ability to verify/remove people who tag themselves as scout/logi/other side of gate tackle (we pay for that). Again, on an open public board, probably a no no for abuse reasons. Still, this is a big part of how my corp gets paid for pew pew, so it should be supported for ally/corp versions.

As far as points, thats a good question,. We have to design a good, fair, skill rewarding points system first (#15). Maybe allow the corp/ally management to assign a modifier to points. (i.e, Logi = 2x, so a 10 point kill would be worth 20 to a logi pilot for that particular corp).

So two modes? The offical mode that everyone sees and one at a corp level? So they could get a more hands on look at how it pertains to them. Also another thing I was thinking about is how this would be useful for those who use neutral RR in high sec. One could say who else was there RRing and as more and more reports that corroborate with the claim appear, then the legitimacy of it could have some merit and the kill board could suggest the odds of the person they would engage, of having these neutral RRing people showing up.

That make any sense?
