After disabling the feature on Anti-Capitalism, I didn't have the issue furthermore. Anyone else able to recreate?

nightpool commented 8 years ago

what.

gloomykid commented 8 years ago

Not sure if you need more information or what that "what" is supposed to mean

nightpool commented 8 years ago

incredulity, mainly.

we'll try to see if we can reproduce this and get back to you.

Just to be clear: everytime a sponsored post is on your dash, it also shows up on your blogname.tumblr.com page?

It doesn't just "show" it on my blog, it is reblogged as if I manually decided to reblog it. It's mostly these Yahoo-blogs (i.e. one time it was Mercedez Yahoo, then it was a movie trailer from a Yahoo blog etc). I thought it was a hack or whatever, so I changed my password, disconnected my mobile tumblr app from my account, but it still happened.

Months after not using the sponsored block on Anti-Capitalism, I've seen many sponsored posts on my dashboard, but they do not get reblogged on my blog.

So, my thought was that maybe if you scroll through the dashboard and use ctrl+r to reblog a post, they're in the background getting reblogged (it was a same problem with muted users, that I suddenly reblogged their asks, while muting their asks etc).

I can't give you more info than that. I know this sounds incredible, I thought so too... but if disabling it for months prevents getting sponsored stuff reblogged on my account.

Hmmm. Okay thanks that sounds more reasonable then "automatically" and also explains why we're not hearing more about it. On Sat, Nov 28, 2015 at 1:52 PM gloomykid notifications@github.com wrote:

I'm sorry I should've probably mentioned that beforehand, but I wasn't entirely sure if the ctrl+r is 100% the reason... though I'm 90% certain it is.

It's probably because I'm the only one still using ctrl+r when I'm not tagging a post...

@nightpool I can't confirm for New XKit because ctrl+r/alt+r doesn't work on Linux and my Windows partition is shot, but I definitely experienced this issue back on old XKit. I had always assumed it was related to scrolling with j/k and how k will randomly crap out and start acting like up-arrow, but that's entirely conjecture.
